I was at the mall the other day and I totally lost my kid. We were in the children’s bathrobes section of a major department store when I turned around and realized that he just wasn’t there. I totally got freaked out and started looking all up and down the rows of clothes, but I just couldn’t find him. It got the point where I had to go and speak to one of the sales associates, who then notified everyone working in the children’s robes department.

Luckily we found him within a matter of minutes and I was so relieved that I wasn’t even mad anymore. I asked my son what happened, and he told me that he just started looking at other stuff and kept walking and walking until he didn’t know where he was anymore. I tried to sit and tell him how bad this was, but he just didn’t seem to understand. I started out the day just going to go buy some new kids robes and ended up almost having a total breakdown right in one of the coolest places to be. From this day forward the mall will always freak me out a little bit, so I guess I have to do a better job of keeping an eye on my children.
